Unit 1: Pattern-Matching Games
This unit is all about patterns. Patterns like “1, 2, 1, 2, …” or “red, blue, green, red, blue, green, …” Playing pattern-matching games will teach students to recognize and extend various patterns. This is a great stepping stone for First Coding Games and more advanced coding.
The most important thing when playing these games is to have fun! It’s OK to fail a level and attempt it many times. Learning from past mistakes is a very useful skill both in coding and in real life. It’s also OK to play each game many times, in fact we recommend it! Levels that were initially difficult or impossible to pass will become easy with time. And remember, this is learning through playing!
